As a parent, I’m always on the lookout for ways to keep my daughter entertained with sustainability in mind. When I came across Build-It Box from WeBuyBricks.co.uk, I had to find out more.
When I was a child, I had hours of fun playing with my LEGO®, and it appears my daughter has the same passion for LEGO® as I do.
The Build-It Box is a great idea for anyone who has a passion for LEGO® looking to build to their heart’s content without worrying about overspending. At a fraction of the price compared to a brand-new LEGO® set, the box comes with around 700 different genuine LEGO® bricks which are all pre-loved providing children with hours of play and some peace and quiet for grown-ups!

As someone who is passionate about sustainable living, I love the fact that this product contains pre-loved LEGO®. It’s not always easy to find products where sustainability is at the heart of a product.
It’s unique! Each box contains around 700 building blocks so no two boxes will be the same which takes creativity right back to basics – it’s all about your imagination.
Our box included doors, windows, wheels, I even received a LEGO® mini figure of Elsa from Frozen. My daughter is a huge fan of Disney’s Frozen so was really excited about seeing this figure in the box.
How did we get on with our Build-It Box?
At first, I left my daughter to it, but it was only a few moments later that I wanted to get involved too. I couldn’t help myself.

What does sustainability have to do with the Build-It Box?
Every piece in Build-It Box is second-hand, sustainably sourced, and cleaned. Without the Build-It Box, many of these pieces could have potentially ended up in landfill. The Build-It Box has given these building blocks a new lease of life and found new homes where they will be loved and played with making it a brilliant environmentally conscious gift.
They arrived in a sturdy cardboard box, great Eco friendly packaging, which is great to store your LEGO® while you’re not playing with it. The great thing about LEGO® that it can be played with for years to come. My partner still has his LEGO® from when he was a child, and he’s now 41.
This product is a huge step toward reducing plastic waste and that’s something I’m more than happy to get behind.
Conclusion
As an eco-parent, this product certainly ticks all the boxes when it comes to sustainability. I also like that this product is a fraction of the cost to buying a brand-new LEGO® set so it’s affordable and it’s a small price to pay for hours of fun. If you’re looking for eco friendly gifts, this should be at the top of your list.
My daughter and I spent about two hours together coming up with ideas and it was lovely creating ideas with each other, it took me back to my childhood. A fun way to have some Mum/Daughter time.
