The Great UK WaterBlitz – 19th September 2025 – 22nd September 2025
This is a new one for this list. This is a biannual environmental awareness campaign encourages us to go outside and test the quality of our local freshwater which includes streams, lakes and rivers. The reason for this is to help the team build an overall picture of the quality of water across the UK. ‘Our rivers and freshwater habitats are at crisis point and we need urgent action.’
Their first event took place in June 2024 and the results were amazing.
